Welcome to Aisle7
On behalf of the nearly 50 employees of Aisle7, I want to welcome you to our new Website and our new company name.
When Healthnotes started nearly 20 years ago, it was based on a simple premise—that shoppers need reliable information in order to make good decisions about their health for themselves and their families. The number of products and the channels in which those products are available has multiplied many times since we first began helping retailers with their wellness marketing programs.
Other significant changes have taken place:
- The growth of the Internet—and other technology—has changed (and is changing) everything.
- An emerging demographic of shoppers who shop differently than their parents is changing the game for many retailers.
- A huge shift in how shoppers think about health and wellness (it’s about fresh foods, it’s about local, it’s about carbon footprints) is taking place and that means that retailers need to think beyond the pharmacy and beyond supplements. Even beyond organics.
- Mega-retailers are now selling food, and so the question of “value” is always in the shopper’s mind.
- In the midst of all of this, retailers are seeking new ways to connect with shoppers in the store to drive sales and loyalty.
The original Healthnotes product, which focused primarily on dietary supplements, only addressed one small portion of wellness marketing. So, with over thirty-five years of working in and around retail under my belt, in watching the industry’s evolution and in speaking to shoppers and clients, it seemed to me that the retailers needed—and were ready for—something new.
And so, a little over three years ago, I initiated a strategic shift for Healthnotes:
· Growing our product portfolio by expanding into other departments in the store
· Architecting a cutting-edge software platform that can seamlessly integrate with retail systems
· Assembling a world-class team of retail experts
· Creating a brand that ties it all together
Today, I’m pleased to announce that the “heavy lifting” on the product has been completed, the team is ready, and the results are exciting. But the real work, and the real fun, still lies ahead.
